Christmas - the New Year! December and January brings get togethers with friends and family as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the start of a new year. It can also bring snowbound days and cold temperatures -- the perfect time to try a new recipe, start a new craft project or make a cup of hot cocoa or tea and settle in to read some of the stories in this issue of The Country Register. AND on those cold, sunny days it can also be fun to grab some friends and head off on a road trip to shop some of the advertising stores in this issue The Country Register. Enjoy the special pleasures of being snug on a cold winter's night and remember -- spring is coming soon!

For those who prefer to read on-line, we are now publishing the complete paper here for you on our web site. Back issues will be available as well. This will hopefully provide you with easy access to shop or event information if you do not have your paper handy. It will also be a way for you to find current advertisers so you know where you can pick up a printed copy!
The print edition is still available as usual in each advertising shop, events, certain travel information centers and other select rack locations. Some people will always and forever prefer to sit down in a cozy chair and read through the paper edition page by page. The younger generations are more apt to go on-line and so we hope to broaden our readership and bring more customers to the shops because of this extra exposure.
