FULL PAGE SHARED ADS where many businesses share a full page of ad space with individual ads: A minimum charge of $85 per advertiser applies. Unless submitted ready for printing, individual ad design fee is $15. This covers the cost of designing each ad and the full page ad.

DESIGN FEE A $15 design fee applies if we create your ad or make major changes to an existing ad. Minor changes or revisions are billed at $10.

COLOUR is an additional $25 for single spot / Full colour $75 for half page or less and $120 for whole page. Colour space is limite and only available on specific pages.

AD PLACEMENT Call for rates.

CLASSIFIED ADS are reserved for home based businesses and services and for those wanting to buy/sell or trade items. Events are permitted to make use of Classified ads when looking for vendors prior to advertising the event itself.

BULLETIN BOARD EVENTS ADS Community shows, churches, guilds, clubs, etc. can purchase 2-1/2" wide by 1-3/4" tall display ad under the Bulletin Board for $45 including GST.

Ad Requirements/Info

If you aren't submitting your ad or artwork electronically, please mail a good, clear copy of the ad or any artwork, including business card, to us. Ads and artwork must be suitable for scanning. We don't work from faxes as they aren't clear enough.

Electronically submitted ads must be greyscale at 300 dpi resolution; colour ads must be CMYK at 300 dpi. Fonts must be embedded or converted to outlines. PLEASE NOTE that in CMYK ads black type must be true black not CMYK. The Country Register cannot be responsible for poor printing if the ad does not meet requirements.

Ads can be sent as jpeg, tif or PDF at a resolution of 300 dpi or higher in the size it will be printed. We aren't able to work with Microsoft products except to take text from Word.

Large files can be sent to us by using yousendit.com - a free file sending service.

Space for colour can be limited especially at holiday time so please call for availability. The Country Register does not guarantee colour availability.

The Alberta Country Register is available at all of the advertisers and at many rack locations throughout the province.

It can also be found at various shows and special events around Alberta as well as some regional tourist information centres, Travel Alberta Centres, many libraries and other locations. Circulation per issue is 22,000 to 30,000 depending on advertising volume. If you know of a place that would like to distribute the paper, please contact us.
