Look for new and exciting additions to
The Country Register you've known
for 15 years!
Thanks for picking up the newest edition of The Country Register Of Wisconsin. Enjoy your complimentary copy and please let us know how you like it.
When you visit the shops that advertise in these pages, please mention to them that you discovered them in the pages of The Country Register.
You’ll likely notice a few subtle changes in the way the paper looks this month, and we hope you find things very well organized, readable and attractive in these pages.
As the new publishers, we are very excited to continue the tradition built by Peg and Den Buchholz, who established this Wisconsin shopping guide and nurtured its growth and value for 15 years. It’s clear they made many wonderful friends and provided their readers and advertisers with a very valuable publication over the years.
We originally crossed paths with Peg and Den a number of years ago through our mutual Mac computer guy. We picked up the publication, thought it was a great idea and told Den and Peg, “If you ever decide you’d like to sell your business, we might be interested in taking it over.” Well, as you may have read in the last issue, they decided to retire from the publishing business earlier this year. We are very happy they contacted us and presented us with this opportunity. New projects are always exciting, aren’t they?!
We intend to keep all of the good features you’ve come to expect from The Country Register Of Wisconsin, whether you’re a regular reader or a valued advertiser - and we have plans in the works to expand the scope of the paper in some interesting and exciting ways.
For example, the September/October issue out next will include a special guide to some of the state’s best vineyards and orchards. Our first annual “Vineyards & Orchards” special section will show you how much fun it can be to visit a vineyard, winery or apple orchard right here close to your home. You’ll be surprised how many unique, delightful and educational experiences are available for the pickin’ in the state of Wisconsin.
Of course, The Country Register Of Wisconsin will continue to be the #1 source of information on where to find…
•Home and garden decor
•Old-fashioned country and victorian shops
•Modern country furniture and accessories
•Antiques and collectibles
•Crafting supplies for quilting, needlework, stamping, scrapbooking, paper arts and beading
•Coffee shops and tea shops
•Jewelry and fine apparel
•Art galleries
•Bed and breakfasts...
•And much more!
Hey, here’s an idea. Why don’t YOU call, fax or email us with YOUR ideas for neat new features and special sections that could be incorporated into our paper. There are tons of great places to visit, people to meet and things to do and learn in Wisconsin. Where would you like to go? What would you like to know more about?
Tell us, and we’ll try to bring it to you in a future edition of The Country Register Of Wisconsin.
In the meantime, enjoy the July/August edition and have fun exploring the state!
Best Regards,
Jennifer & Scott Hughes
